Portability and updates

Thanks to the rechargeable battery you can use the device anywhere: trade fairs, markets, mobile businesses, with no need for a socket. The LCD display shows the total amount and a breakdown of the banknotes counted for each denomination. Updating is done via an encrypted USB cable or a USB stick, so the device stays compatible with new euro banknotes.

A note on ECB testing

The European Central Bank does not issue certifications for banknote authentication devices: it tests equipment submitted by manufacturers and publishes a list of the devices that passed. You can consult the current list on the ECB's official website.

This device is an aid: no detector, of any brand, replaces a manual check of a banknote's security features or rules out the possibility of error entirely.
